NLP or neuro-linguistic programming.
NLP
What is NLP?
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach devoted to the study of human behavior in its dimensions of communication, learning and change.
People such as John Grinder, Richard Bandler, Anthony Robbins, Robert Dilts, Judith de Lozier and Stephen Gilligan have contributed to its worldwide dissemination.
Programming
From our earliest childhood experiences, we have created complex "programs" for thinking, analyzing, feeling and adapting to our environment and the people around us. Specific to each person and their experiences, these programs quickly become habits and automatisms.
Neuro
These programs are encoded and stored in our brains. Indeed, it is because we possess a neurological system that we are able to perceive our environment, think, feel and act. Many NLP change techniques are based on the creation or reorganization of these "programs" of thought and behavior.
Linguistics
Our internal programming manifests itself through our verbal and non-verbal language. Indeed, our language structures and reflects the way we think and organize our daily experiences (our "world map").
WHAT IS THE AIM OF NLP?
NLP focuses on desired results and then on the processes for achieving these results. To this end, it "models excellence". NLP therefore aims to develop people's interpersonal skills. It seeks to provide practical tools for better communication, learning and development, based on concrete tools that have proven their effectiveness through tangible results.
WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF NLP?
- NLP provides enlightening insights into the psychological, emotional, behavioral and relational functioning of human beings. In addition to the useful and relevant tools it provides, NLP is a methodology for learning how to learn.
- NLP reveals potential and builds self-confidence and self-esteem in real-life situations.
